Easter Idea

Gather
paper
pencil or marker
scissors
plastic Easter eggs

Go
1. Choose one or more Bible verses about Jesus. Here are a few suggestions:
“He loved us and sent his Son.”—1 John 4:10
“He is not here! He has risen.”—Matthew 28:6
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life.’ ”—John 11:25
“Believe in the Lord Jesus. Then you and your family will be saved.”—Acts 16:31
2. Write each verse on a piece of paper, leaving space between each word.
3. Cut the verse into words or phrases.
4. Place one piece of paper in each plastic egg. If you use several verses, put all the words for a verse in one egg.
5. Ask a parent to hide the eggs.
6. Gather siblings or friends and hunt for the eggs together.
7. Open the eggs and put the words for each verse in the right order.
8. Read each verse aloud and talk about it what it means.

diy easter baskets

I have never been a fan of store bought items. I love to look and see how I can make it myself. An easy one being whats going into easter baskets heres what I threw into my childrens baskets. For a 9 yr old girl: sidewalk chalk, dress shoes, items to make your own bracelets, big chocolate easter egg, pixie stick, little candies. 1 yr old boy: dress shoes, sidewalk chalk, huge crayons,a large piece of white cardboard ( to color on), wooden puzzle and marshmallows. We will also be checking out some local egg hunts and doing the egg project my sisters going to talk about. The best advice I have is have fun be creative and think of ways that can encourage solo play. I also like that while sister is making bracelets, brother can color. They can also color the sidewalk together so thats nice.

dollar store

I don't know about you all but I love dollar stores.Me going from business woman and workaholic to stay at home mom, I don't enjoy spending money like before. So the dollar store here we come. I needed dry erase markers I got a 4 pack for a dollar.I needed little bathroom decorations ,grabbed some up at the dollar store..Not to mention the potty prizes and birthday dollars! Don't worry I am saying all this for a reason. With he husband off at work and home duties calling I find more and more that In my list of duties I also have to decorate. I had to move everything in the house and I have decorated the house. So of course doing it alone I love when I can pick up little things here and there. I am redoing my sons bathroom because lets face it a child's bathroom is rather boring in flat paint without decor.Im doing it on a tight budget and just a little bit at a time. That's the best way when you have to do it solo. Well I have a 1 yr old helper who tries to help lol. Stay tuned for pics and pricing details. I didn't take before pics but may be able to scrounge some up from somewhere.I just keep my creative juices flowing and don't hesitate ,dive in.

Two for One

LOST TOOTH (TEETH)
I remember when I was a child losing a tooth was cool because of the prizes. I was told how the tooth fairy built her castle out of teeth and would pay to get my pearly whites.I never had a problem losing them because I loved loved loved apples. There was one time where I thought if the toothfairy is so desperate for my teeth wouldnt she just take them from me. Needless to say I ran around my house for about a month covering my mouth.I am able to take this trip down memory lane because my sister sent me the cutest pic of my neice missing her two front teeth.I have always heard the song but never saw it so cute before. If you're having a tough day take a trip down memory lane and remember a cute tooth story!
  EASY LASAGNA
Now I said two for one and I meant it because I have the easiest recipe for lasagna, its yummy and convenient. You'll need....

 small box of lasagna noodles
large jar of pasta sauce (any flavor I stick with original)
1 lb of ground turkey
1 12 oz block of cheese.

Boil your noodles until they're soft but just firm enough to grab with tongs out the pot.while noodles are boiling throw your meat in a pan and season and brown. (I use garlic salt,Italian seasoning and pepper).pour a bit of pasta sauce into meat just enough to wet it. start grating your cheese into a bowl.when noodles are complete its time to layer...lay enough noodles to cover your pan.I used a large round cake pan.sprinkle with a tiny bit of cheese.now add noodles then a tiny bit of hamburger, noodles tiny bit of cheese with a lot of hamburger.noodles and the rest of hamburger.then pour the rest of the pasta sauce evenly over hamburger and sprinkle the rest of your cheese on top.place in oven until cheese is lightly browned and bubbling and whola.
Pair with favorite bread and veggie and you are good to go. +you can layer it however you wish I chose this way because it brings out the cheesiness and 8 love cheese.
BTW great meal for someone with a loose tooth or who just lost a tooth. Everything's nice and soft.

veggie tales

ok I didnt think about it but I would've posted about the veggie tales event. I used to do events for Disney so I was all for it. They were preselling a veggie movie and showing it that day in the store. We were the only ones there :( Thats the great thing about 1 yr olds they dont care. They set us up in the back of the store with color pages and crayons and flipped it on for us. He danced, ate and threw toys. He didnt understand why I couldnt rewind so he could dance again but it was good to get out the house. He made out like a bandit stickers, color pages,3 movies, poster and mommy made him a cardboard Bob and Larry. We are ready for  another one. If I wouldve had more than 1 days notice he wouldve been sporting a homemade Bob costume lol.
